Draw a green line between two points to measure the reference object.
Reference pixel distance: 0 px
After setting the reference, measure the object's dimensions by drawing lines.
Object length (red): 0 px
Object width (yellow): 0 px
Angle between length and width lines: 0 degrees
Object diagonal (blue): 0 px
Calculated size:
1. Upload an image, choose a known panel, instrument, or button and draw the green reference line by clicking and dragging. You can adjust the line by dragging its endpoints.
2. Enter the real size and units of the reference object.
3. Draw the red (length), yellow (width), and optionally blue (diagonal) lines for the object by clicking and dragging. Lines are adjustable, and pixel values will update.
4. The calculated size will display based on the reference measurement.
For example:
The Altimeter according to Mil-PRF83491E is exactly 2.875 inches (7.3025 cm) in diameter (inner ring). The round engine instruments in the F-4E are 2 inches (5.08 cm) in diameter.
The width of a normal side panel is always 5.75 inches (14.605 cm). You can use this for most of the cockpit or side panels as a general reference.
Use the results to scale and trace the image in a CAD program of your choice to build or 3dprint your desired Panel or Simpit Insturment!
